HSE's BEST Robotics Team
Victory pose after sweeping 2 trophies and 4 plaques at the Bowling Green Competition.
Our Story:
The year started with a dream. A dream of conquering the world using the power of robots. Unfortunately, that plan hasn't come to fruition yet, but the 39 Hamilton Southeastern Seniors taking Engineering Design and Development class joined together to make a BEST robot, which is a good start. It all began 12 weeks ago at the Bowling Green University BEST Robotics hub unveiling of the Pay Dirt game. As soon as we returned to Indiana we began a flurry of planning and preparing. Throughout the 6 weeks prior to our first competition, we built our own rendition of the play field and slung together a somewhat functional robot. Although it was nowhere near perfect, it was enough to win us first place BEST and first place robot at Bowling Green University. Here is a highlight of our first competition. Since then, we have doubled our efforts to create the best robot we can. Hamilton Southeastern is ready to dominate the competition with our latest version of the award-winning robot, FlexDog. For more information about our robot and the journey along the way, check out this YouTube video. If you are interest in following us while we compete in Fargo, North Dakota, you can do so here. We will be competing on December 5th from 8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M.
